The Martinique International Film Festival once again asserted its significance, drawing a record-breaking global audience via streaming. Festival curator Kris De Meester expressed, "This has inspired us to introduce a cash award for the film with the highest global views." Reflecting on the selection process, he added, "I was delighted to witness an abundance of outstanding entries this year, resulting in a final selection we can truly take pride in. Alongside numerous premiering films, we showcased many award-winning films, some of which made their streaming debut at our festival. Embracing a digital approach enabled us to include a larger selection of films than ever before. I am hopeful that this strategy will facilitate the discovery of even more emerging voices for our next edition."
